Hi friends,

I feel a bit guilty, like I should’ve uploaded this a bit sooner. Now that I seem to have regular readers, maybe they’re thinking ‘so what is up with Brittany and France?’

Well let me tell you what is up. Brittany is moving to Paris FOREVER!

Okay that’s a joke. Kind of. A ‘maybe someday’ dream. Everything about this place is intoxicating. The delicious food, the astounding architecture, the beautiful and romantic language- some people in the US have the opinion that the French are a bit… ‘snooty.’ Well, I disagree, but I can also see both sides. If you’re living in such a dazzling place, of course you’re going to feel superior to Wallmart-strewn USA.

And my family is, quite frankly, hilarious. My aunt, my uncle, and my cousin, who I rarely get to see, are complete characters. I feel that I could draw cartoons of our dinner conversations- it is completely endearing and lovely, and as Uncle Mike puts it ‘the wife CAN cook’ (Auntie Dawn has outdone herself two nights in a row). Their house is so comfortable and I feel right at home, which is quite a wonderful feeling after having traveled for six months. Which reminds me- I will be seeing my own family in ONE WEEK!

And PARIS! Oh, Paris… I’ve spent the past two days climbing all the way up to the top of the Eiffel Tower, visiting the Opera House, Notre Dame, the tomb of Napoleon, the Arc de Triomphe, the Trocadero, and La Medeleine. Today I am going to Versaille with my Aunt, and then spending the afternoon wandering through the Louvre, finally topping off the day with a trip to see the Opera ‘Tosca.’I continuously say this… but… life can’t get better than this, can it?

There is so much that has happened in this wondrous place that I feel I don’t even have the words to express the utter happiness and peace I am feeling. Tomorrow morning I leave for Switzerland, and I am truthfully very sad to go. I am not too distraught though. I know I will be back here sometime in the near future.

Much love and happiness friends,

Brittany
